A simple yet beautiful event app for you.
Building an event app is a daunting task. We understand that you, as an event organizer, have limited time but unlimited tasks to accomplish. We built Rendezville so that your time and money can be saved in the following ways:
In the age of smartphones where convenience reigns supreme, festivals and multi-day events have discovered the ideal of having entire schedules and details available at the fingertips of participants, via apps. Yet, if you’ve ever hesitated to download yet another app, you’ll understand why Rendezville (www.rendezville.com) founder Joseph Tzeng chose to create his new festival and conference schedule as a web app. That means your event attendees don’t need to download an app...
That means your event attendees don’t need to download an app to dive into your schedule, photos, music, videos, bios, and maps.
“By staying out of the app stores but having all the functionality of an app,” explains Tzeng, “we are able to keep prices far below most app creators but still have a highly beautiful, functional, and interactive festival and conference schedule experience. Better yet, your event schedule is reachable from any mobile device that has a browser, not just iOS and Android devices.”
Attendees will assume your web app has been custom built. Organizers can re-direct their own brand URL to the schedule and the look is fully branded for their event. Once attendees use the “Add to Home Screen” feature of their smartphone, it will be as if they downloaded a fully functional app. They can tag favorites by clicking on a heart icon and build their own personalized schedule. They can swipe left and right to search through events by time or swipe down to dig further into an event, where organizers can include SoundCloud, YouTube, and social media links; as well as biographies and an auto-generated Google map for directions.
Customers to date include CD Baby’s DIY Musician Conference, Middle Coast Film Festival, Lotus World Music and Arts Festival, the Limestone Comedy Festival, and more.
“In the first year of our conference, we made a last minute decision to have a mobile app,” says Dmitri Vietze, one of the organizers of CD Baby’s DIY Musician Conference. “Rendezville had all the functionality we needed for both panels and performances in a beautiful design. The data entry dashboard made it simple to add a lot of information in a short period and yet we had our own app for very little money. We’ll be using it for all our events.”
Mat Alano-Martin, the co-director of the Limestone Comedy Festival adds, “It was simply awesome. Looked great. Worked great. Easy to update.”
Users that want to try out the interface have no risk since you only pay once you decide to publish your festival or conference schedule. Interested event organizers can get started at www.rendezville.com.
